TOPIC: WHAT'S UNDERNEATH

THIS ACTIVITY ENCOURAGES CHILDREN'S INTEREST IN NATURE, VOCABULARY BUILDING, COUNTING, AND DEVELOPING THEIR MEMORY SKILLS.

EXAMPLE:

A matching lizard is placed beneath each rock, around the room by a teacher. Children will then take turns lifting pairs of stones in the hope of finding matching lizards. The children are to return their unmatched lizard underneath the rock. Call out "Match Two!" when both lizards are found, just like playing the "Memory Game."
