Your baby caregiver will gather a noise-making object to shake behind their highchair. As she now moves out of their visual range, she will then move first to the right and then to the left, as she makes noises with her object, encouraging your baby to follow the sounds. When your baby shows they are paying attention to the sounds, she then moves back into the baby's visual range, rewarding them by clapping, and saying "Good Job!" "Good Job! TOPIC: WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU WANT SOMEONE TO SHARE
THIS ACTIVITY ENCOURAGES BETTER LISTENING, SELF-AWARENESS, TEAMWORK, AND PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS.
:
EXAMPLE:
Your child will be encouraged to take part in a group discussion. Two of the children would act out the scenario as playmates. The caregiver gave a toy to the children that they both liked. Playmate one wants to also play with playmate two toys, but playmate two is not sharing. Playmate one now looks very sad. Both children have been playing with their toys for an extended time. The group, including our actors, would be asked by their educator what the problem is? How would they feel if they were playmate one, and how can they tell not sharing has become a problem? Their goal is to develop a solution and a possible outcome as a group.
